Kobs, Dorothy (Marriage - 13 OCT 1928)

A very pretty wedding took place at Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chicago, Ill., on Saturday, Oct. 13, 1928, when Miss Dorothy Kobs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kobs of Colby, Wis., became the bride of Rev. Martin A. Wuggazer, son of Rev. and Mrs. Theodore Wuggazer of Fraser, Mich. The father of the groom officiated at the ceremony, which was performed at four o'clock before an alter and a chancel banked with palms.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a lovely gown of ivory satin. Her veil of tulle, worn in cap fashion, was held in place by a short wreath of orange blossoms. Silk hose and satin pumps matched her dress. A shower bouquet of white roses, lilies of the valley and baby chrysanthemums completed her costume.

Miss Almine Kobs, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and was gowned in a frock of delicate pale green taffeta, draped at the shoulders with maline. Her head piece consisted of a maline band. Hose and satin pumps matched her dress. She carried an arm bouquet of chrysanthemums.

Hilda and Hilma, sisters of the bride, and Elvira and Irma, sisters of the groom, were bridesmaid and wore peach taffeta dresses, headbands and shoulder drapes of peach maline, hose and satin pumps to match. They carried bouquets of yellow chrysanthemums.

The groom was attended by his brother, Erhard Wuggazer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the ushers were Thurston Nornholm, George Petek, Raymond Eggert and Otto Reimann, Chicago, Ill.

Following the ceremony, a wedding supper was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Krueger, sister and brother-in-law of the bride. Decorations were carried out with branches of autumn colored oak leaves and pink and white streamers centering above the table.

The young couple is spending their honeymoon in Colby, Wis. and other points in Wisconsin and will make their home in Center Line, Mich., after completion of the parsonage, which will be about the first of the year.
