Schneider, Marie E. (Marriage - 28 OCT 1926)

Miss Marie E. Schneider, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Schneider, was married to Mr. Edward G. Rucks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rucks, Thursday, Oct, 28, 1926, at 1:30 in the afternoon, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. Kirchhoefer reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Esther Erdman was bridesmaid and Miss Gladys Rucks maid of honor. The groom was attended by Mr. Fred Kowalk and Mr. Anthony Hederer.

The bride wore a beautiful dress of rayon silk trimmed with chantilly lace over mellow chene slip, all white, and also wore an embroidered veil. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas, carnations, roses and ferns. The bridesmaid was attired in a dress of pale green satin and white silk, and the maid of honr was attired in a dress of blue satin and white crepe de chine.

A wedding reception was held at the groom's home, the place being nicely decorated in blue and white for the occasion. Saturday morning the young couple will leave for points in the southern part of the state and will be at home after Nov. 15th at Colby, Wis.

This Thursday evening, Oct. 28th, a free wedding dance will be given at the Cherokee Hall.

The couple is well and favorably known and their many friends extend congratulations.
