Mrs. S. L. Nason, of Nasonville, Wis., had a quilting party at her house on Wednesday, the 17th inst., composed of fifty women and twenty-five babies. They were treated to a sumptuous feast, and as to the amount of quilting accomplished they showed themselves the true Knights of Labor. Good for the Nasonville ladies.

Jerry Cross and Wm. Farning, had a warm discussion Monday evening, which resulted in Jerry’s being pounded to a jelly, while Farning was shot twice, one ball going into his leg above the knee and the other inflicting a flesh wound in the left side. A man by the name of Harvey Ferris who was endeavoring to stop the row received a ball in one of his legs. Cross is a dangerous man with a pistol, as he shoots to kill, and it was a very narrow escape for Farning. The trouble, we understand, arose over the settlement of a bill.
