Phaneuf, Oscar F. (3 Apr 1858 - 5 Augl 1924)

Oscar F. Phaneuf was born at Neenah, Wis. April 3, 1858 and died at Marshfield, Wis., Aug. 5, 1924 at the age of 66 years.

Mr. Phaneuf moved to Abbotsford, Wis. from Neenah 24 years ago and settled on a farm near Abbotsford.

Mr. Phaneuf’s first wife died 19 years ago and Sept. 18, 1912 he married Mrs. Marie Johnson, who survives him with his seven children, Mrs. Gus Wilhelme, Mrs. George Lundahl and Gordon Phaneuf of Abbotsford; Mrs. Howard Bell and Miss Bessie Phaneuf of Chippewa Falls; Mr. Charles Phaneuf of Odessa, Wash.; and Frank Phaneuf of Stevens Point, Wis. Mr. Phaneuf also has one sister living, Mrs. F. S. Haylett of this village.

Mr. Phaneuf was taken ill July 30 and that same evening was taken to Marshfield Hospital, where he remained until Aug. 2nd. He was taken ill that same evening and was taken to the hospital, where Aug. 4th he underwent an operation for gall stones, which resulted in his death on Aug. 5th.
