The letterhead below (dated Feb. 7, 1898) was used by the Thorp Mercantile Co. of Thorp, Wisconsin. The had a branch store at Eidsvold and dealt in General Merchandise and Lumberman's supplies. George H. Lusk was the president, Melvin Nye the vice-president, H. F. Hudson the secretary and George Zillman served as the treasurer.
