Gladys (Hannawell) Brooks (18 Apr 1891 - 18 Feb 1920)

Mrs. A. L. Brooks died at her home in the town of Colby, Clark County, Wis., on April 18, 1891, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hannawell. The family later moved to Elroy, where she received her education in the public school and graduated from the high school in 1910. She was married to Arbie L. Brooks Oct. 29, 1913 and two years ago they came to Colby and settled on the farm, which has since been her home.

She leaves to mourn a husband, and one little son, her mother, two sisters and five brothers. Services will be held at the residence at 6 o’clock Friday evening and the remains will be taken to Elroy on the night train, where burial takes places.
