Knickel, Manila M. (Marriage - 24 Feb 1920)

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mrs. P. Knickel at Marshfield Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1920, at 12:30 p.m., when her daughter Manila M. was united in marriage to Mr. Lynn C. Catlin. Rev. Joseph Warnick of the Presbyterian Church performed the ceremony.

The bride was attended by Miss Edna Nelson and the groom by Hal Dumas. The bride was attired in a dark blue suit and wore a bouquet of sweet pears and ferns.

After the ceremony a fine wedding dinner was served to the guests, which were the immediate relatives and friends only. Many beautiful gifts were received by the couple.

Both young people are well and favorably known in this vicinity (Clark County, Wis.). The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Catlin and is a young man of sterling worth. He was in the service about two years, and was across 16 months, having returned last June.

The bride is an accomplished young lady, only daughter of Mrs. P. Knickel and has lived for the past five years at Marshfield. She attended our local high school and later graduated from the Marshfield High School, and also took a business course.

Both young people have a host of friends in this vicinity who join with the Tribune in extending congratulations and best wishes for a life of happiness and prosperity.

Mr. and Mrs. Catlin left the same day for a trip to Milwaukee, West Bend and Cedarburg, and will be at home after March 15th in Loyal.

The guest from away who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Knickel of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Catlin and daughter, Marie and Mrs. Andrew Lewis, and Mr. Phil Smith of Loyal.
