Stevens, Simeon S. (5 NOV 1845 - 24 Jul 1915)

Simeon S. Stevens died at his home in Spokeville, Clark County, Wis., Saturday, July 24, 1915. Death was due to a complication of diseases.

Deceased was born at Moscow, Maine Nov. 5, 1845 and came to Wisconsin with his parents when a boy. He was united in marriage to Miss Ella Boyer Oct. 2, 1869 at Sheboygan Falls.

Forty five years ago he came to Clark County, Wis. with his family and at first settled on a farm one mile south of Spokeville, where they resided for years. They then moved to Spokeville, where he lived until the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and two children, Mrs. Oscar Lundgreen of Port Wing, and Clifford at home, one sister, Mrs. Lena Eldridge of Sac City, Iowa, and two brothers, Londer and Byron Stevens of Spokeville, besides four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at Spokeville Sunday afternoon, July 25th, Rev. Anderson officiating, with interment in the Loyal Cemetery.
