Gardner, Wolf (6 APR 1825 - 7 Dec 1912)

Died, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Dorn, of this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) of heart trouble at the age of eighty-seven years, nine months and one day, Wolf Gardner, formerly a resident of the town of York, where he lived on a farm for over thirty years. He died on Dec. 7, 1912. He was born in Germany in 1825 and was married to Elizabeth Toman in1850. Mr. And Mrs. Gardner came to this country in 1853 and settled in New York. Five years later they moved to Ontario, Canada, where they resided about fifteen years.

He came to the home of his daughter about four years ago, where he lived until his death. He leaves to mourn his loss six children, John, George, Arthur, Mary, Annie and Bertha. He died as he lived a true husband, a good father and a faithful follower of his Master.

The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the M. E. Church and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery back of the church.
