GEORGE E. CROTHERS--County Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Crothers is a native of Adams county, Wisconsin, where he spent his boyhood days in school and on his father's farm. He came from Adams County to Clark County Wisconsin. During the last few years of his residence in Adams county, he was engaged in teaching school, and up to the time of his election to his present office he was similarly employed in this county, his home being in the Village of Thorp, in the northern part of this county. In January, 1889, he entered upon the discharge of the duties of the office of county superintendent of school, to which office he had been elected the preceding November. He has proven to be a faithful and competent office, having labored earnestly and successfully in the advancement of the public schools.
