Christman, Caroline (Marriage - 23 JUN 1909)

The Catholic Church was handsomely decorated Wednesday morning in honor of the wedding which took place at nine o'clock. The contracting parties were Miss Caroline Christman and Mr. Joseph C. Andraska, both of them from prominent families in Clark County, Wis. The wedding was performed by father Stenz, assisted by Rev. W. Daniels of Marathon City and Rev. Ehmer of Marshfield, the ceremony being the solemn High Mass.

When Mrs. L. Emmerson at the pipe organ commenced the music of the mass, the friends of the young couple were present, both from this village and country, and when the bride and groom came down the aisle preceded by attendants, the scene was one of great beauty.

The bride was attended by Miss Lena Winterhalter of Allenton as maid of honor and Misses Mae Wiric and Clara Andraska as bridesmaids. The groom was attended by John Christman and Andrew Winterhalter of Hartford and Peter Andraska.

The bride was gowned in a white embroidered chiffon dress and wore lilies of the valley. The maid of honor wore white roses and the bridesmaids carnations. The home was decorated with sweet pears. The groom wore the conventional black.

At the conclusion of the ceremony the bridal party and the invited guests went to the home of the bride's parents, where a reception was given. The presents received by the newly married couple were numerous and handsome, as well as valuable.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Christman and is much thought of and is a young lady well qualified for the duties of home. She is a young lady of many graces of mind.

The groom has many friends in this vicinity and is popular with all of them.

The congratulations on the happy event were numerous and this paper is greatly pleased on this occasion to add it hearty good wishes to those being so freely extended.
