Bratz, Flora (29 APR 1891 - 21 Sep 1920)

The deceased was born on the 19th of April 1891, in Thorp, Clark County, Wis., and after growing up to be a girl she was instructed in the Christian Religion by Rev. F. Schwertfeger. As her childhood days, ao also her maiden days she spent at home serving her parents with gladness. As to her stature, she was frail and never seemed to enjoy the blissful gift of perfect health. About three weeks ago she was suddenly overcome by an acute attack of appendicitis, and after summoning surgical help she was hurried off in a car to Chippewa, where at first it seemed that a perfect operation had been performed, although the appendix had burst, but about two and one-half weeks after the first operation a second was deemed necessary, as puss had formed and owing to her weak condition she could not withstand the second operation, nor having any chance to live without it. She passed away on the 21st of Sept. 1920 at 12:15 a.m.

The deceased leaves to mourn besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bratz, three brothers and two sister, William of Cooperstown, N.D., Walter and frank, and the two sisters are Mrs. Henry Schultze and Mrs. Emil Seefeldt, both living southwest of Thorp.
