Henderson was born at Kingston, Ontario, Canada, on Oct. 4, 1849,
and died at his home in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on
Friday evening, May 30, 1919. For many years past deceased was ill
with stomach trouble. Two years ago last fall he underwent an
operation at Rochester, Minn., since which time he enjoyed fairly
good health, until on Monday of last week he became seriously ill.
Mr. Henderson moved with his parents to Iowa in early boyhood,
where he resided until reaching man's estate. He came to Thorp in
1881 with his family and this place has been his home since. His
wife died after a brief illness in May 1915. He leaves one
daughter, Mrs. John E. Ambrose of Owen, Clark County, two sisters,
Mrs. J. S. Green of Eau Claire and Mrs. E. LoPage of Altoona, also
two brothers, Dr. Henderson of Bemidji, Minn. and Wm. Henderson of
Sorona, Wis. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon from the
residence, Rev. George Crow officiating, interment followed in the
