100 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Wm. Ogle had a son on August 12th.

Thomas Crowley is the instructor at school.

Mr & Mrs. Fred Agin had a son last Monday.

H.H. Tomkins sold his farm to Mrs. Thos. Nixon.

C. Buehman, brickmaker, completed a kiln of about 65,000 brinks.

Laura Nixon sold her farm to W.D & F.B. Clemons.

Wm. Barrett sold his home which was occupied by Prof. Finn to W.J. McGrogan last week.

Geo. W. Deuel, editor of the Boyd Times-Herald came to town to check out the electric light plant.

Mr & Mrs. B. Hansen had a son on August 11th.

Mr & Mrs. Thos. Clark had a daughter on August 14th.

Anna Buss, Rudolph Plecity, Frank Tripp, Charley Johnson and Zora Covert took a trip to St. Paul on Saturday.

Peter Deforth Jr. returned home from Minitowec county where he attened his fathers funeral. Peter Deforth Sr., age 71 died the last week..

75 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. John Jaskot had twin girls on August 6th.

Mr & Mrs. Art Brandt had a daughter on August 8th.

Mr & Mrs. Fred Dahm had a daughter August 2nd.

Mr & Mrs. Claude Colby had a son August 3rd.

Mr & Mrs. W.S. Hall who lived here for 2 years, left for Pasadena, CA.

Tony Ziemba and Catherine Dietzl get a freet trip to the WI state fair but writing the best essays.

50 YEARS AGO...

John (Jackie) Kowieski, 12 years old from Chicago, was killed by a car Sunday afternoon.

Charles Strovers, age 58 died in Stanley.

Frank P. Neiman, age 72, died of a heart attack last Friday.

Mr & Mrs. Harvey Seaman had a son on August 4th.

Joyce Elaine Tieman and Sgt. Earl Leslie Syth were wed July 26th.

Mr & Mrs. Carl Reynolds of Phoenix, AZ (formerly Elaine Haas) sent a telegram to Mr. & Mrs. Casper Haas Sr. that they had a baby girl.

25 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Marion Sciezor Jr., had a daughter August 6th.

Theresa Lorenz, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Glowlenke and Frank Horvath were wed June 19th in Lublin.

Peter Steager, age 76, died August 8th in Marshfield.

Rose Reinhard, age 72, died August 5th in Warner.

Services held August 9th for Albert Holt, age 71.

Leonard Raether and Alice Stangret were wed July 27th in Lublin.

Mr & Mrs. Leonard Chapman had a son August 3rd.

Mr & Mrs. Leslie Deutschlander had a daughter August 4th.

Mr & Mrs. Charles Birkenholz of Gilman had a daughter August 4th.

10 YEARS AGO...

Bessie Ecker, age 87, died August 7th in Stanley.

OLD PICTURE: Last weeks picture was identified as William (Bill) Haldy, Thorps High Schhol football coach in 1952-53.
