Jennie (24 Mar 1862 - 20 Jul 1911) Died, at her home
in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Thursday, July 20,
1911, Mrs. Gilbert Vanderhyden, aged 49 years, 3 months and 27
days. Jennie VanAbel was
born at Holland, Wis., on March 24, 1862, where she grew to
womanhood, and on May 5, 1885, was united in marriage with Gilbert
Vanderhyden. For the past twelve years they have resided in this
village. About a year ago she was taken ill, and continually grew
weaker until death ended her sufferings. Her husband,
Gilbert Vanderhyden, four children, Barbara, Mayme, Henry and
Wilfred, her mother, Mrs. Wm. VanAbel, one brother, John VanAbel of
Holland, and four sisters, Mrs. Gene Gates of Mohall, N.D., Mrs. A.
Donkers of Portland Oregon, Mrs. Joe Chopin of Kaukauna and Mrs. A.
VanLoo of this place, survive her. One daughter, Josie, died her
nine years ago. The funeral, which
was largely attended, took place from St. Bernard's Church at 9:30
on Monday morning last, Father A. Arentz officiating, interment
