Owen, Mildred (Marriage - 1 Jan 1918)

On New Year's morning Miss Mildred Owen and Adolph Starke were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at the Cathedral in Fargo, Rev. Fr. George performing the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Owen, of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., and has for the last two years been employed in the cloak and suit department of the E. A. Richer store at Fargo. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Starke, of this city, and is a prosperous young farmer. The young couple came to Valley City Wednesday, and a wedding dinner was served them by the groom's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Starke left the same evening for Spokane, Wash. And various places in the west, where they expect to visit for the next two months. The happy couple will be home to their many friends March 15th, at the groom's farm four miles west of this city. Their many friends wish them every happiness. (Valley City, N.D. News)
