Swanson, Mrs. Nels (1 Oct 1855 - 6 Apr 1918)

Mrs. Nels Swanson who was badly injured about two weeks ago by the kick of a cow, died at her home north of the city, April 6, 1918. Her death was caused by bleeding from one of the injured legs, which got out of place and opened up one of the wounds.

Deceased was born in Sweden and was 62 years of age Oct. 1, 1917. She came to this country in 1880, and was married to Mr. Swanson in 1881 at Sycamore, Ill. In 1900 they came to Clark County, Wis., which has been their home ver since. She was a woman of excellent qualities, and worthy in every way, a good wife and kind mother.

Besides her husband she leaves three children: Mrs. Wise of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Quigley of Lake Forest, Ill., and Wm. Swanson of Bole, Mont. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon and the remains will be taken to Sycamore, Ill., her old home, for burial.
