Neverman, Della (17 Jul 1882 - 24 Dec 1917)

Della Neverman died at the home of her mother Monday morning Dec. 24, 1917 (at the age of 35 yrs.), after a lingering illness.

She was born in Neillsville July 17, 1882, being the daughter of Henry and Mary Neverman, grew to womanhood here and attended the high school. Later she spent several years in Chicago, where she kept house for her brother Jule, worked in the telephone central and also in the Montgomery Ward & Co. Store. Coming back to Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. she took a position in the W. J. Marsh store, where she remained until failing health required her to give up work. Every effort was made to build up her health. During the fall and early winter she was at a sanitarium in Milwaukee, but seeing that the end must come soon she was brought home. She suffered greatly, but was patient and considerate with all about her. Her kindly disposition, helpfulness and good will during all her life made her many friends. She was known and loved by many people far and near. Her death is a great loss, not only to her home and relatives but to this entire community.

She leaves her mother, six sisters: Mrs. Amelia Jackson, Mrs. M. L. Tompkins, Mrs. John Minta of Indianapolis, Mrs. John Skewis of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. A. F. Flynn of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Miss Mae Neverman at home; three brothers: Fred and Julius L. Neverman, Neillsville, and Edward of Evanston, Ill. All were present at the funeral, which was held Wednesday under the auspices of the Eastern Star, Rev. G. W. Longenecker also assisting in the services.
