John Prock died at the Marshfield Hospital, where he was hastily taken in hopes of an operation to save his life, Wednesday Jun 6, 1917, aged 31 years, 4 months and 14 days.

Deceased was born in the town of Weston, Clark County, Wis., being the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Prock. He grew to manhood there and on May 6, 1913 was married to Miss Clara Gall, who with their two small children, survive him. He leaves also to sisters, Mrs. Nick Enders and Mrs. Albert Barton.

John Prock was a young man of high character. His habits were good, and he had all the fine qualities of good citizenship. He grew up a home boy, being the only son, he was his father’s constant companion on the farm, and was always kin and helpful in the home. He was a kind husband and father, a good neighbor and friend, and his death has brought sorrow not only to a wide circle of relatives but also to a host of friends.

The remains were brought back to the home of his wife’s mother, Mrs. Jos. Gall in this city, from whence the funeral was held Saturday forenoon at the Catholic Church, Rev. F. Weber officiating.

The following relatives and friends from a distance attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. John Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Harricks, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Harricks, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sitz, all of Cashton; Mrs. George Prock and daughter of Rice Lake; Mrs. Ben Harricks and children of Brill, Mr. Jos. Zasubil of Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. Nick enders and children of Beloit; Edward Gall of Park Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gall of Minneapolis, Minn., Alvin Gall of Heron Falls, Minn., Henry Ziegler of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schwamb, Edwin Prock and family, Linus Prock and family and William Schwellenbach and family, Joseph Schwellenbach and family, all of Globe. Six brother-in-laws acted as pallbearers.
