EIBERGEN, WILLIAM (BILL) AND ELLA(HALES)

Ella was born, raised and educated in the Town of York. She married William Eibergen April 23, 1927 and in 1929 rented and later purchased her parent's farm. They retired from farming in 1956. Ella served as treasurer of the Town of York for 12 years and was a member of the Roval Neighbors for over 50 years. Bill and Ella belonged to the York Center Community Club and were affiliated with the York Center Methodist Church.

Ella worked as a clerk in the Granton post office before her marriage. Bill worked with horses on road jobs and in the woods, served in World War I and also did farm work before his marriage. Ella died in 1972.

They had two children, Richard Albert, who now owns and lives on part of the original Albert William Hales farm and Diane Jane of Belmont, California.
