Smith, Robert G. (26 May 1875 - 21 Feb 1934)

Robert G. Smith, son of Robert and Elizabeth (Herse) Smith, was born in the Town of Warner, Clark County, Wis., May 26, 1875 and passed away at his home Feb. 21, 1934. Mr. Smith spent his entire life in the vicinity of Greenwood, the last 17 years of which he live on his farm four miles north of Greenwood.

In 1916 he was united in marriage to Amelia Steffen. Mrs. Smith preceded him in death Feb. 20, 1924; a brother Hugh, also preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn three brothers, William of Milwaukee; Sam and Mark of the Town of Warner; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Huntley of Granton; Mrs. Sarah Davis of Oregon; Mrs. Elizabeth Vine of Greenwood and Mrs. Lydia Shupe of Loyal; also his two stepsons, Gerald and Edward Steffen.

Funeral services will be held at the Greenwood Reformed Church at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery Saturday.

Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bishoff, Mrs. Jonnie Bishoff, Jessie Smith, Ed Kuhlman and Mrs. Kate Henricks of Milwaukee; Miss Ora Davis, Mrs. Ray Mortermer, Mrs. Dale Lee of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lawrence and daughter of York Center; George Rude, Ira Davis and Miss Della Lawrence of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Harmie Huntley and daughter Irene of York Center.
