Johnson, Elias D. (22 NOV 1910 - 17 JUN 1929)

Elias Delton Johnson was born Nov. 22, 1910 on a farm in the Town of Warner, Clark County, Wis., where he spent his early years of childhood. Reaching school age he entered the public school at Greenwood. Finishing the grades he went to high school about two and one half years and then decided to remain at home and help his parent on the farm. Here he stayed until the time of his death, which occurred on June 17, 1929.

His personality and disposition were of such a nature as to endear him to all those he came in contact with. His sudden and early departure came as a great shock to all who knew and loved him and his many friends and relatives will sadly mourn his loss.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church, Rev. Householder rendering a very impressive sermon, dwelling on the subject, "Remember Thy Creator in the Days of Thy Youth." The choir also rendered two beautiful songs. After the service the remains were laid to rest beside his sister Emily in the Greenwood Cemetery.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Johnson, one sister Ella, one brother Delmond. One sister Emily, having preceded him in death thirteen years ago. Also his aged grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole J. Johnson and several aunts and uncles, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
