Barr, Fred Sr. (23 APR 1877 - 15 Dec 1957)

Beginning Thursday morning, friends May call at the Hill Funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. I.J. Tanner, pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Barr was born April 28, 1977, in Manchester, Iowa and married Mary Boehm June 19, 1904, in Strawberry Point, Iowa. He attended schools in that state and as a young man of 19 years he went to Alaska during the gold rush there.

Besides his wife, he leaves four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Frances) Marg, Eau Claire; Mrs. Leonard (Edna) Paulson, Spokane Wash.; David, Pacific, Calif.; Thomas, Cameron; and Fred, Jake and Mrs. Ervin (Anna Fay) Heck, all of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis. Fourteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter also survive. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph, and by one brother and one sister.
