Kolpane, Uno (10 March 1907 - 2 Oct. 1992)

Longwood - Uno Victor Kolpanen, 85, town of Green Grove, Owen, died at 9:33 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood, with the Rev. Richard Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles and Duane Pribbernow, George Eloranta, Aaron Zimmerman, Jeff Robbins and Royal Awe.

Visitation will be at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, from 4-8 p.m. today.

He was born March 10, 1907, in Negaunee, Mich., to the late John and Hannah (Koski) Kolpanen. He attended Moody School in the town of Longwood. He married Norma Awe May 27, 1931, at the United Church of Christ, Owen.

He and his wife farmed in the town of Green Grove from 1931-1964. He then worked at the Clark County Health Care Center until retirement in 1971. He was supervisor of Green Grove Township for many years. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife; three brothers, Roy of Milwaukee; William of Marshfield; and Reino of Golden, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Art (Elizabeth) Himes of Owen; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Hans.
