Olsen, Ella (Marriage - 1950)

Now honeymooning in the northern part of the state are Mr. and Mrs. James Stevens, Loyal, whose marriage was solemnized at 8 o’clock Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. C. J. Langholz was the officiating clergyman.

The bride, the former Ella Olsen, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Olsen, while the groom, James Stevens, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stevens, all of Loyal.

A white suit with white accessories accented with a corsage of deep pink roses was selected by the bride.

The couple’s only attendants were Mrs. Claire Schlinsog, Willard, and Floyd Olsen, brother of the bride. Mrs. Schlinsog’s ensemble was a deep rust suit worn with white accessories, and complimented with a corsage of yellow roses.

Henry Knoll and Allan Quast ushered for the wedding.

Following the ceremony, 50 guests were entertained at a reception at the home of the bride’s parents.

Both are graduates of Loyal High School, and when they return from their trip, they will reside in Loyal.

Noted in the margin - 1950
