Kallberg, Rhonda (25 May 1959 - 11 Dec. 1996)

Withee - Rhonda Kay Kallberg, 37, Owen, died on Dec. 11, 1996, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident near Spencer.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Pallbearers will be Karl Kallberg, Ron Smasal, Randy De Coster, Jim Sowieja, John Sterzinger, and Rod Haut.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen.

The former Rhonda Simmerman was born on May 25, 1959, in Fruita, Colo., a daughter of Norris and Kathryn (Jirik) Simmerman. Rhonda was a 1977 graduate of Owen-Withee High School.

On July 30, 1977, Rhonda and Greg Kallberg were united in marriage at the Missionary Alliance Church in Owen. After being employed with the Clark County Health Care Center for 14 years, Rhonda returned to school and received her nursing degree from North Central Technical College in Wausau. She was employed at the Neillsville Nursing Home at the time of her death. A loving wife and mother, she will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Greg Kallberg of Owen; her parents, Norris and Kathryn Simmerman of Owen; one son, Benjamin Kallberg, at home; and two daughters, Jacquelyn and Sara Kallberg, at home; one sister, Lisa Simmerman of Green Bay, many friends and co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
