Holyrood Gazette

A very interesting wedding to Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. and community occurred Saturday morning, Nov. 8th, 1930, at eight o’clock at the St. Paul’s Evangelical parsonage, Holyrood, Kansas. The event was the marriage of Miss Hazel Goff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Goff, to Mr. Joseph Harbacek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harbacek, Rev. Seybold performing the ceremony.

The bride wore a two piece sport suit of travel crepe, with gray figures, and a small metallic and chiffon velvet hat to match, gray hose and block slippers. She also wore a beautiful teardrop necklace. The groom wore the customary blue.

The bride is a popular young lady of this city. She, with her parents, moved here several years ago from Wisconsin. She attended the local high school three years, graduating with high grades, and has since been working in a local store for two years. The groom is young and industrious mechanic of this city and at present is the head mechanic at the Baker Garage.

The newly weds left immediately after the ceremony for Wichita, returning Sunday evening, at which time a reception was held in their honor at the Harry Goff home.
