NEILLSVILLE SECOND TEAM DEFEATS DOMES

The Silver Domes met their first defeat of the season Sunday at Keller’s ball bark when the Neillsville second team squeezed out a 3 to 2 victory. Wilbur Black Deer furnished the fireworks of the afternoon when he knocked out a "seven-base" hit. Black Deer, after making a home run, learned that Floyd Wall umpire, had ruled that he had failed to touch second base, and stared around the circuit again, reaching third base before the ball finally came in from the outfield. Black Deer’s mates failed to hit and he died on third. Walter Weaver stretched a nice three base hit into a home run.

Silver Dome plays Granton at the Dome next Sunday. Governor Schmedeman, who will be at the Dome attending the Eagles convention, will be asked to pitch the first ball.
