Patchak, Stella C. (29 March 1912 - 17 Feb. 2005)

Stella C. Patchak, 92, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home for the last four years, passed on to eternal life Thursday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2005 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Stella was born March 29, 1912 in Thorp, to John and Anna Ciolkosz. She attended local Clark County schools.

On October 26, 1940 Stella and Harry R. Patchak were united in marriage at Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1993.

For 22 years, Stella was employed at the Anna Reiss Home/St. Nicholas Hospital in the housekeeping department.

She was a faithful member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish.

Stella enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a green thumb and liked tending to her houseplants.

Stella is survived by two daughters, LaVerne (Gary) Giffin of Germantown, Md. and Yvonne Fellberg of Plymouth; one son, Kenneth (Joyce) Patchak of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren, David, Debbie, Duane, Melissa, Michelle, Kelly, Kevin, Michael, Thomas and Peter; 18 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Harry, Stella was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters, Joseph, Josephine, Frank, Louis, Mary, Helen, William, Walter and Sophia.

Funeral Services for Stella will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Ballhorn Chapels. Rev. Edward M. Monroe, CSsR, Associate Pastor at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in her name. Stella’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home for their wonderful care.

Stella will always be remembered for her kind-heartedness. She will be dearly missed.
