David Lee Hull was born on August 13, 1930, in Owen, Wis., the son of Wallace and Orpha (Eisenbise) Hull. He was raised and educated in the Owen area, graduating from Owen High School in 1948. David served in the National Guard from 1950 until 1959. On November 23, 1952, he was united in marriage to Eleanor Karpinski at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp. He was a master plumber for most of his life, where he worked for Fischer Plumbing & Heating in Thorp, Schuette Builders in Wausau, former owner of Thorp Plumbing & Heating, and also worked for Watters Plumbing in Menasha.

David was a past scout leader, member of Knights of Columbus, a member of Clark County Male Chorus and had many interests; but he especially loved being with family and friends, traveling and singing in the church choir.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Eleanor of Eau Claire; seven children, Daniel (Patricia) of Thorp; Deborah (John) Nemes of Berkley, Mich., Duane (Bernadette) of Eau Claire, Dennis (Christina) of Wellsboro, Penn., Denise (Richard) Kuhn of Sugarland, Texas, Danila (Thomas) Ousley of Starkville, Miss., and Douglas (Michelle) of New London; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three brothers, Edward (Marian) Hull of Thorp, Robert (Nina) Hull of Withee and Bruce (Nancy) Hull of Clarkson, Ky.; one brother-in-law, Donald Marshall of Thorp; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Diane Hull; one brother, Frank Hull; and two sisters, Orpha Marshall and Alta (Lund) Schilling. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Olaf Catholic Church Building Fund, Eau Claire, Wis., or to Thorp Catholic School.
