Brenner, Alvin (15 AUG 1930 - 13 May 2005)

Alvin Brenner, 74, Curtiss, died Friday, May 13, 2005, in the emergency room of Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Curtiss. The Rev. Karen Johnson officiated. Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss. Pallbearers were Brian Sheets, Josh Bauer, Brad Wilke, Matthew Wilke, Doug Bauer, and Todd Kaiser. Honorary pallbearer was Jesse Bauer.

Alvin Brenner was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Thorp, to Alfred and Millie (Sorensen) Brenner. He married Isabelle Stumpner on Jan. 19, 1952, at Emmanual Lutheran Church, Longwood. They farmed in Boyd, Unity, and Loyal until they moved to Curtiss in 1989. He worked as a nurse’s aid at the Clark County Health Care Center. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Curtiss Lions, and Curtiss Community Club.

Survivors include his wife, Isabelle; his children, Janice Collins, Madison, Debbie (Jim) Sheets, Plymouth, Karen Brenner, Spencer, Susan (Doug) Bauer, Unity, and Shari (Todd) Kaiser, Spencer; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Adelia Tollefson, Altoona; and one brother, Orville (Catherine) Brenner, Caddot.
