Smith, Flora (17 OCT 1884 - 6 Jul 1972)

Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis. - Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Georgas Funeral Home, for Mrs. Flora Smith, 87, who died Thursday at the memorial Home where she had resided since Nov. 1970.

Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Clark, pastor of the United Church of Christ, officiating. Visitations may be made at the funeral home beginning at noon today (Friday).

The former Flora Wedekind was born Oct. 17, 1884 in the town of Grant, where she also received her education. She was married in Rockford, Ill., July 5, 1909, to Art Smith, who died in 1955. They lived in Columbus for awhile and then moved to Neillsville where he was employed with the American Stores Dairy Co., until his retirement. She was a member of the United Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen Peterson, Black River Falls; a son, Rollie, Altoona; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. George (Clara) Shaw, Neillsville; and Mrs. Herb Rickkoss, Milwaukee; and one brother, Richard, Neillsville.

In addition to her husband, two brothers preceded her in death.
