Alma Ott, 98, died Jan 30 at Marshfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident since 1990. Funeral services will be held Monday at Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery.

She was born July 19, 1898 in Medford, the daughter of Charles and Ida (Schmidt) Meissner. She moved to the Town of Rock with her parents where they farmed. At the age of 17, after the death of her mother, she helped her father and brothers on the farm until her marriage.

She was married to Emil C. Ott on August 8, 1918 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Nasonville. She and her husband farmed at Marshfield. In 1961, their son, Melvin, purchased the farm they continued to live there. They celebrated their 60th anniversay in 1978.

She is survived by a son, Melvin (Doris) Ott of Marshfield; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Laverna) Boehm of Eau Claire; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 9, 1982, six brothers, Charles, Edwin, Arbie, Ervin, Elmer, and Earl Meissner; and her parents.
