Bloom, Elizabeth (1862 - 3 Jul 1930)

Elizabeth Bloom was born in 1862 at Pittsburg, Penn., and came with her father and mother to Alburnette, Iowa, where she lived until her marriage Aug. 12, 1882, to John Piguet. She spent most of her life in Iowa. She came to Wisconsin three years ago spending the rest of her life on the farm here, dying on July 3, 1930. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Loyal July 6.

Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her death, four children and 12 grand children. One daughter, Maude, died at 9 months of age. The living children are Desmond of Bangor, Harry and Leota Litten of Beaver, and Marjorie Goodell of Loyal. Also one brother of Red Cloud, Nebraska; Henry Bloom of Beaver and Mrs. Ella Whitney of Central City, Iowa, who arrived too late for the funeral.

She was laid to rest at Beaver cemetery.

We have only your memory, dear mother,

To remember our whole lives thru’

But the sweetness will linger forever

As we treasure the image of you.

We mourn for you dear mother,

But not with outward show.

For the heart that mourns sincerely,

Mourns silently and low.

Only a prayer that is tender,

Earnest deep and true.

But it comes from the heart, dear mother,

While thinking of you.
