Wesolosky, Martin (7 Oct. 1861 - 17 July 1933)

Martin Wesolosky, for 35 years a resident of the town of Levis, passed away July 17, 1933 at the Neillsville Hospital.

Mr. Wesolosky was born in Schroda, Germany, Oct. 7, 1861. After coming to America he lived for some time at La Salle, Illinois, where he was married in 1889 to Miss Theresa Kruswicke.

In 1898 they came to Clark County and settled on land in the town of Levis where they have since lived and which has been developed into a comfortable farm home.

Mr. Wesolosky was an industrious upright man, friendly and fair in all his relations with his fellow men, a kind husband and father and in every way a good citizen. His chief interest was in his home and family and he will be greatly missed in the home circle.

He is survived by his wife and nine children: Marie, Mrs. P. Deuel, Great Falls, Mont.; Martin Wesolosky, Jr., Milwaukee; Nick Wesolosky, at home; Stanley, Milwaukee; Isabel, Mrs. Edward Clark, Minneapolis; Gertrude, Mrs. Victor Peterson, Minneapolis; Miss Viola, principal of the Goff State Graded School in Reseburg but now at home; Pal and Miss Jean at home.

He leaves also one sister, Mrs. Julia Mix at La Salle, Ill.

The funeral was held at St. Mary’s church, Neillsville, Thursday morning, July 20, Rev. Peter Weber officiating.

The pallbearers were Paul Skroch, Wm. Richmond, Frank Schmidt, Max Krobeck, Frank Muzynoski, and John Trinkner.

Those from away who came to attend the funeral were Mrs. Edward Clark, Minneapolis; Mrs. Victor Peterson, Minneapolis; Mrs. Lawrence Holga, Milwaukee; Mrs. Jos. Opowske, daughter Anne and son Jack, Thorp; Mrs. Frank Oscars, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wesolosky, Jr., and family, Milwaukee; Stanley Wesolosky, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. M. Krobeck, Milwaukee.
