Lueddecke, Gustaf (28 Augl 1903 - 4 Feb 1928)

Gustaf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lueddecke of Medford, died at the St. Joseph Hospital at Chippewa Falls, Saturday evening, Feb. 4th, 1928, of inflammatory rheumatism after an illness of a little over a week. The remains were brought here and the funeral conducted Wednesday afternoon front the Evangelical Peace Church, Rev. Bizer officiating. Reynold Schaefer, Albert Blazel, Walter Schaefer, Ed Blazel, Herman Blazel and Otto Schroeder were the pallbearers and Martha Blazel, Helen Mueller, Alice and Helen Lueddecke, and Myrtle and Verna Schultz were flower girls.

Gustaf Lueddecke, was the youngest son and was born in Dorchester Country August 28, 1903 and was 24 years, 5 months and 6 days old at time of death. He grew to manhood here and has a host of friends who mourn his untimely death. The last 10 months or so he was employed at the County Asylum near Owen, Clark County, and for 2 or 3 years prior to that time he was employed in North Dakota. He was here a couple of weeks ago in apparently good health, but shortly after his return he became ill. He was a fine young fellow just entering manhood and it seems hard to those who love him to see him taken away.

He leaves to mourn, besides his parents, two brothers, William and Louis, and fives sisters, Mrs. O. Schroeder, Mrs. Blazel, Mrs. Max Schaefer, Mrs. Bruno Mueller, and Mrs. Otto Plockelman.

The Clarion joins their many friends in extending to the bereaved words of sympathy and comfort.
