OLYMPIA - Longtime Willapa Harbor resident Frank Eugene Kudasik II, who lived in Yelm for the past five years, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 70.

Mr. Kudasik was born on Oct. 27, 1933, at Withee, Wis., to Frank and Gladys (Jordan) Kudasik. He grew up in Thorp, Wis.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1962.

After moving to Willapa Harbor, he married Joan Schneider on Feb. 11, 1966, in Long Beach. She survives him at the family home.

In his younger years, Mr. Kudasik worked in a dairy, making cheese and driving a milk truck in Wisconsin. He retired from the Weyerhaeuser Co. for 27 years as a road construction foreman.

He enjoyed building stick furniture and bird houses with his wife.
