Seidel, Frances M. ( 17 Dec. 1910 - 22 March 2005)

MEDFORD - Frances M. Seidel, 94, of Medford died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Memorial Health Center in Medford.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake.

Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hemer Funeral Home. A prayer service was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born Dec. 17, 1910, in Calumet, Mich., to Joseph and Anna (Plautz) Bohte. She married Bernard E. Seidel on Oct. 23, 1937, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in the town of Greenwood. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1968. The couple owned and operated a general store in Westboro, retiring in the late 1960s. They then moved to Medford.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. (Richard) Makovec, Neenah, and Kathleen F. (James) Callear, Marathon; son, Bernard "Ben" (Donna) Seidel, Medford; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Angeline Schemberger, Wauwatosa, and Dorothy Weigel, Medford; and two brothers, Joseph (June) Bohte, Monterey, Calif., and Edward (Estelle) Bohte, Rib Lake.
