Erickson, Alvin (15 Dec. 1910 - 11 Feb. 2004)

Alvin Erickson, 93, formerly of Fairchild, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital. Alvin, son of Carl and Myrtle (Cosford) Erickson was born Dec. 15, 1910, in Leal, N.D.

The family moved to York in 1916, and then to Cleveland township, Jackson County in 1921. Alvin farmed here until moving to the Fairchild Nursing Home in 1993. He transferred to the Neillsville Nursing Home in the spring of 2003. Alvin enjoyed fishing and hunting, but especially loved music and playing the violin.

He is survived by his sister, Beatrice Lang of Neillsville; two nephews, Bernard (Janet) Adams of Oak Creek and Craig (Lisa) Adams of Humbird; great-nephew, George Adams of Black River Falls.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with spring burial in the town of Cleveland Cemetery. Friends May call one hour before services at the funeral home.
