MYRTLE D HANSEN

Myrtle Hansen, age 83, of Sheboygan died on Sat. Oct. 26, 2002, at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Myrtle was born in New Lisbon on Feb. 11, 1919, a daughter of the late Charles Carl and Ella Henrietta (Carlsen) Hansen. Prior to living in Sheboygan, Myrtle attended Hiawatha Country School and Neillsville High School in Clark County. She received a Masters Degree in primary education from UW-Madison.

Myrtle taught in the Sheboygan School System for her entire career at Longfellow School. She had an avid interest in art, displaying a talent and perspective for watercolors. She also had an interest in reading and writing and spent much of her time at the Mead Library.

Surviving Myrtle include three sister, Hazel Hansen, of Seattle, WA; Gertrude Coco of Las Vegas, NV and Marcella Lourd, of New York City, NY. Preceding Myrtle in death are two brothers Donald and Robert Hansen.

It was Myrtle's wish to be cremated. No visitation or service was held. The staff of the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home served the family.
