S.D. Gibson transacted business at Heathville Friday. H.W. Visgar started his cheese box factory last week and is running a full crew. C.F. Vick, our industrious farmer, has just finished a fine new dairy. E. Grabe is the proud possessor of a flue horse now which greatly aids him in his farm work. Merrill Dwyer was down with the mumps last week. Misses Josie Vick and Elva Turner have gone to Neillsville to learn dress making. Mesdames Wm. Rowe and Edna Lawrence and sons transacted business at Loyal Saturday. Officers of the I.O.G.T. were installed Sat. evening by A. Benedict L. D. Quarterly meeting at the F.M. Church last Saturday and Sunday. The M.E. Church will give an ice cream festival Tuesday evening, the 22nd, at the home of Wm. Rowe for the benefit of Elder Hoffman. All are cordially invited. Rev. Geo. Andrews of Greenwood, delivered a fine sermon at the Center Church Sunday. The cheese factory began operations Monday, on a small scale. During the thunder storm yesterday morning Geo. Gardner's house was struck by lighting. Fortunately no one was hurt and no serious damage was done.
