Goetz, Margaret (20 Feb 1885 - 16 Sep 1970)

Loyal, Clark County, Wis. - Mrs. John (Margaret) Goetz, 85, Loyal, died early today (Wednesday) at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Rev. Norbert E. King, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

Friends May call at the Roycraft Funeral Home beginning at noon Friday. The Parish Council of Catholic Women will recite a rosary there at 3 p.m. Friday, followed by the general rosary service at 8:30 p.m.

The former Margaret Newhouse was born in Loyal, Freb. 20, 1885. She moved with her parents at an early age to Tony, Wis., where she received her education. Her marriage to John Goetz took place June 6, 1906, at Tony. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1956.

The couple moved to the Clark County area in 1907 and settled on a farm in the town of York. They retired about 27 years ago and since that time made their home in Loyal.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband, a son, Romie Goetz, Loyal; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Fenner, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Dalbert (Florence) Becker and Mrs. Herman (Lucille) Noeldner, both of Loyal; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Tillie) Meyer, Loyal; and Mrs. Lizzie Verhyn, Ladysmith.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
