In 1954, her family moved to Fairchild, where Barbara was raised and educated, graduating from Osseo/Fairchild High School in 1969. She then moved to Portland OR to live with her aunt and gave birth to her daughter Melissa.

She was united to Mark Kronberger of Neillsville, in 1974, and lived in Globe, Mineral Point and Thorp. They later divorced. In 1982, Barbara was engaged to Ron Moss, of Thorp.

Barbara attended Chippewa Valley Technical College from 1984-1987, where she received a degree in fashion marketing and merchandising. Barbara worked in the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls area in her field of study. She had many interests, but especially enjoyed camping, picnics with her grandchildren, collecting tea sets, and arts and crafts.

Barbara will be sadly missed by: her fiancé, Ron Moss of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Melissa Wampole and Angela Kronberger, both of Chippewa Falls; three granddaughters, Shanndel Bignell and Brianna and Elsie Jarvar; her mother, Amanda Wampole, of Thorp; her grandmother, Margaret Oldham, of Neillsville; two brothers, Wayne (Janet) Wampole of Neillsville and Bryan (Shirley) Wampole of Thorp; five sisters, Linda (Scott) Ford, of Thorp, Carol (Keith) Haas, of Thorp, Bonnie (Bryan) Gwiazda of Chippewa Falls, Judy Wampole, of Thorp, and Jenny (Brian) Haas of Thorp; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
