Jacob Knuebuehl went to Fairchild Tuesday after a horse that he had purchased there.

Dr. Schwarz has had the wood shed that stood back of his house moved to the corner of his lots and enlarged so as to use it for a barn.

Silas Delano has a Plymouth Rock pullet that has began laying monstrous eggs. One recently laid measured 6 ½ and 8 ½ inches around.

John Lawrence is having the old barn at his place taken down and will erect a chicken house in its stead. John Smith is doing the work.

Wm. Campbell is making some decided improvements about his home this spring. He has raised the house 14 inches and will build a new kitchen at the rear.

Charles Francis, of Fairchild, spent one day the last of the week with friends here. He has resigned his position in the drug store and expects to leave soon to join his father in Montana.

Vet Marsh has had a telephone put in his house, so as to answer hurry-up calls for silos.

W. H. Clark returned home on Thursday. He reports Mrs. Clark improving slowly but very weak yet.

Prof. H. Mueller is again engaged in teaching work, this tie in a parochial school in Canada. Mrs. Mueller expects to make a trip there before long and if they decide to remain May dispose of their farm here.

Mrs. Brandstedter went to Ladysmith Saturday to take her sister's little boy, who has been staying here while his mother was in the hospital, home. Her sister, Mrs. Robelia has just returned home from the hospital where she had an operation a month ago for appendicitis.
