HARRY F KUBERA

Harry F Kubera, age 58, Black River Falls, formerly of Thorp, passed away Thursday Jan. 27, 2005, at his home. No services will be held.

Harry Frederick Kubera was born May 6, 1946, in Stanley, to Andrew Mike and Myrtle (Swim) Kubera and was educated at area schools.

Over the years, Harry worked for the city of Thorp (as a mechanic), Haas & Sons, Joe Lato Pole Buildings and Thorp Flour & Feed. He also worked as a truck driver for several companies, eventually driving for himself as an independent trucker.

He was a Vietnam veteran and enjoyed motorcycling, nature, mechanical work, operating excavating equipment, poems and poetry, and he enjoyed paying tribute to Native American heritae beliefs.

He is survived by two daughters, Denise (Brent) Paulson of Baldwin and Kari (Blake) Dahlby of Medford; nine grandchildren, Brent Jr., Lilly, Bryce, Grayson, Brynn, Justin, Jerrod, Joel and Taylor.

He is further survived by, 13 siblings, Alvin (Marjorie) Kubera of Marshfield, Dorothy Congemi of Waukesha, Florence (George) Mahalko of Killeen, TX, Marlene (Duane) Baker of Hutchinson, KS, Bonnie (Byron) Timo of Two Harbors, MN, Wendell (Mary Lou) Kubera of Lublin, Joyce Markoutsis of Waukegan, IL, Marjorie Peleschak of Phelps, Darleen (Anthony) Jarocki of Withee, Mary Ellen (Roger) Kell of Withee, Judith Ann Kubera of Stanley, Sharon (Brad) Gilbertson of Stratford and Lorraine (Richard) Sitter of Thorp and hundreds of nieces and nephews.

Preceding Harry in death were his parents, three brothers, Arlyn, Louis, and Andrew Jr. Kubera: and one sister, Ruby Pearson.

Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
