Luchterhand, Mrs. Albert (7 May 1890 - 20 JUN 1928)

Mrs.. Albert Luchterhand, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolf Oestreich, was born in the Town of Sherman, on the 7th day of May, 1890. In this place she grew to womanhood.

In early infancy she was baptized in the name of the Triune God and then later instructed in the fundamental doctrines of the Christian religion and confirmed in the Ev. Lutheran Church in Loyal, to which Church she remained a faithful member of good standing up to the time of her death. On the 9th day of June 1909, she entered the Holy estate of wedlock with Albert Luchterhand, which union was blessed with two sons. They lived on a farm about one mile north of Loyal.

Having been in poor health for a number of months she was taken to Marshfield for treatments, where she put up a good battle to regain her health. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and all through her suffering had nothing but kind thoughts and words for her loved ones, bravely bearing the cross. She was also highly respected and esteemed by her neighbors and friends and to be sure will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Last Sunday she yet stated that she had suffered a lot and hoped things would soon turn for the better. Her sighing was not in vain for on Wednesday night her Creator and Redeemer by a blessed death as we have all reason to believe, from this world of suffering to a better world, thus making her age 38 years, 1 month and 13 days.

The deceased now leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband and two sons, namely Norman and Garth, her loving parents: Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Oestreich, and six brothers and four sisters, namely: Walter Oestreich of Park Falls, Alfred, Frank, Harry, Lothar and Dennis of Loyal and Mrs. Elmer Duehning of Guthrie, Okla., Mrs. Jense Yde of Brainard, Minn., Mrs. Wm. Vogel of Rogers, N. Dak., and Mrs. Charles Lucht of Spokeville, besides numerous relatives and a host of friends who have our hearts sympathy in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held June 23 from the home at 1;30 P.M. and from the Ev. Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment was made in the Loyal Cemetery, Rev. Leschensky officiating.

Immediate relatives from away who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Oestreich of Park Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Jens Yde of Guthrie, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Walter Limp of Bloomer and Mrs. Fred Schalan of Vesper.
