Turville, Carrie Alice (6 Nov. 1868 - 14 March 1932)

Mrs. William Turville, died suddenly at her home in the town of Weston, Monday evening, March 14. She was in apparently good health until about 7:30 a.m. when she had a stroke of apoplexy, and did not rally, passing away, about 6:30 in the evening.

Carrie Alice Campbell was born at Oconomowoc, Wis., Nov. 6, 1868, and had reached the age of 63 years four months and eight days, at the time of her death. She grew to womanhood at Oconomowoc and was there married to William D. Turville, Nov. 1, 1892. On March 24, 1900 they moved to Clark County and located on the farm in Weston which remained their home until the present. Mrs. Turville was a member of the Congregational church in the Oconomowoc, but since coming here her religious life was confined to her home. She was a loving, helpful wife and mother and a woman greatly respected by all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband and nine children: Richard at Circle, Mont.; Keziah, Mrs. Gordon Lavine, Oregon City, Ore.; Grace, Mrs. Leo Hein, Spence4r; John, Chester and Hannah, Mrs. Ben Dehnert all of Sheldon, Wis.; Daniel and Ralph at home. One son Will died about a year ago. She leaves also 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Harvey of Neillsville, Will of Seattle, Carson of Yakima; two sisters, Grace of San Jacinto, Cal.; and Julia of Oconomowoc.

The funeral will be held Saturday, 1:15 p.m. at the home and 2 o’clock at Schiller’s Funeral Home, Rev. Longenecker officiating.
