Obenberger, Joseph (Feb 1855 - 20 Mar 1914)

Last Friday morning, Joseph Obenberger, aged 59 years, a farmer living three miles north of the village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), committed suicide by shooting himself through the heart with a shot gun. No cause is known for his action.

The funeral was held at Stetsonville on Monday, with interment in the Stetsonville Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his death, one stepson, three daughters, two step-daughters, two brothers, two sisters and other relatives.

Deceased was born in Feb. 1855 at Holtzschage, Austria, and came to America about twenty-three years ago, settling in Virginia, moving to Wisconsin one year later.
