Johnston, Mamie (1 AUG 1911)

A pretty double wedding occurred at the home of Justice C. B. Travis in Humbird on Tuesday morning, when Mr. Travis spoke the words that joined Miss Mamie Johnston of Cleveland, Jackson Co. to Mr. Lewis Hobbs of Vancouver, Wash., and Miss Olive Johnston to Mr. Leonard Hobbs, both of Cleveland. The brides were daintily attired in blue and white, the grooms wore the conventional black. After the ceremony a bountiful dinner was served at the Travis home. Only a few of the near relatives and friends were present. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hobbs took the noon train for Vancouver, Wash., where Mr. Hobbs is engaged in the fruit business. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hobbs will be at home on Mrs. Johnston's farm, which they will rent. These four young people are well and favorably known in this vicinity (Clark County, Wis.), having grown to manhood and womanhood here, and if good wishes complete their happiness, nothing but roses will strew their pathway.
