Loesel, Elsie (23 NOV 1909)

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Duerkop, in this city, Tuesday forenoon, Nov. 23rd, 1909, Rev. Aeppler of the Lutheran Church pronounced the words which unite for life, Miss Elsie Loesel and Mr. Ernest J. M. Duerkop. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Sarah Loesel, while the groom's brother, Mr. Gustav Duerkop, assumed the role of groomsman.

The wedding was a very quiet affair, no invitations having been issued and only the immediate members of the family being present. Both parties to this union are among the well known young people of this county, where they grew up to manhood and womanhood. The bride, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Loesel, of the town of Lincoln, is an amiable and accomplished young lady, while Mr. Duerkop is an industrious and popular young man.

They took the evening train for Humbird, Clark County, Wis., where the groom has been staying for some time past and has recently leased a farm on which they will make their future home. They have hosts of friends in this county who extend to them the best wishes for a life of future joy and happiness. (Buffalo Co. Journal)

Mr. and Mrs. Duerkop are both quite well known in this vicinity, having both been employed here for some time. They arrived in the village the last of the week and have begun housekeeping on E. Washburn's farm, which the groom has leased for a term of years. Friends here add their congratulations and best wishes.
